Adam Mccubbin has always been very social and outgoing. In high school, Adam visited his local barber shop every two weeks and began to love getting his hair cut. As he neared graduation, he knew becoming a barber would be the perfect career to combine his passions for art and meeting new people.
To pursue this dream, Adam contacted Steve Kennedy about enrolling in the oldest operating barber college in America – Tri City Barber College. Kennedy could sense how serious Adam was about beginning his career and enrolled him as quickly as possible. “The more I had a razor in my hand, the more at home I felt,” Adam said. “It just clicked.”
After graduating from Tri City Barber College, Adam’s passion for barbering continued and he has come to consider the craft an art form. “I feel the most at home when I am behind the chair, and always do my best to make clients feel comfortable,” he said. “To me, going to the barber shop is more than just getting a haircut, it’s an experience.”
